    On 04/16/2024 at approximately 2028 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation near the intersection of W. Blondell and Parks Highway. The driver was identified as Jesiah Hanson, age 29 of Wasilla. The passenger was identified as Emma Vanborg, age 24 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed both had outstanding warrants out for their arrest. Both were placed under arrest and transported to MatSu Pre-Trial. Bail was set at $250 for each individual.

    Type: Reckless Endangerment/Endangerment of a Child 2nd Degree

    On 4/16/2024, at approximately 0947 hours, Alaska State Troopers were on patrol in the area of Trunk Park and Ride in Palmer. AST observed two occupants passed out inside a vehicle. AST contacted Austin Hulin, age 30 of Sutton and Kristen Miller, age 28 of Palmer. AST located a 6 month old inside the vehicle. Investigation revealed that Kristen and Austin were using illicit controlled substances inside the vehicle while the child was present. Kristen and Austin were arrested for the crimes of Reckless Endangerment and Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the Second Degree. The child was taken into protective custody. Kristen and Austin were transported to Matsu Pre-Trial, where they were held without bail.

    On 4/15/2024 at approximately 1703 hours, AST received information about a female that was inconspicuously requesting law enforcement assistance at a local business.  It was reported that the female had been involved in a Domestic Violence situation with allegations of being assaulted over the span of several days.  AST was able to locate the female near mile 67 of the Parks Highway who was with the suspect identified as Nathan Moeung, age 38 of Wasilla.  Investigation revealed that Nathan had assaulted the female numerous times with a dangerous instrument over the span of several days and had taken the female to a secluded area in Hatchers Pass where the assaults continued.  Nathan was arrested and remanded to MSPT, where he was held without bail.  Nathan was charged with Assault in the 2nd degree, Assault in the 3rd degree x3 and Assault in the 4th degree.

    On April 16th 2024, at approximately 2350 hours, Troopers responded to the area of Maria St in Fairbanks for a disturbance between three family members. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Alexander Rice had caused physical injury to the victim during an argument. It was also determined that Zoe Rice had caused damage to a door and tv during an argument. Zoe and Alexander were remanded to FCC without incident.

    On April 15, 2024 at approximately 5:30pm, Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks conducted a traffic stop on an illegally operated four wheeler.  Investigation resulted in the arrest of Billy Gene Tilbury of Fairbanks.  Mr. Tilbury was charged with driving while under the influence.  He was transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center without incident.

    On April 16, 2024 at approximately 0845 hours, the Alaska State Troopers Criminal Suppression Unit (CSU), Patrol, and Department of Corrections Pre-Trial responded to the area of Hoselton Rd. to locate Zachery Dove, 28, of Fairbanks. 

    Dove had previously cut off his ankle monitor on April 12th after being released on Pre-Trial supervision for Vehicle Theft 1st Degree and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 4th Degree. 

    When Troopers attempted contact with Dove inside a building, he attempted to flee out the back door of the building where he was met by Troopers. Dove then attempted to run out the front door of the building where he was again met by Troopers and subsequently apprehended. Dove was returned to Pre-Trial Services and charged with Escape 3rd Degree. and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center.

    On 04/15/2024 at approximately 1344 hours, the Highway Interdiction K9 Team conducted a traffic stop on a black Chevy pickup for a seatbelt violation on Church Road in Wasilla. The driver was identified as Cord Hanaway, age 42 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Hanaway to have a suspended driver's license with previous convictions within the previous ten years. Hanaway was issued a misdemeanor summons for Driving While License Suspended.

    Update: On 04/15/2024, a search warrant was executed on the vehicle where user amounts of fentanyl powder were located in the area Beasley was reaching prior to stopping his vehicle. Charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 5th Degree are being filed with the Palmer DAO.

     

    On 04/11/2024 at approximately 1444 hours, the Highway Interdiction K9 Team conducted a traffic stop on a blue Hyundai Sedan for multiple violations near mile 52 of the Parks Highway. The vehicle did not immediately yield to the trooper and continued for approximately one mile while attempting to hide items within the vehicle. The vehicle ultimately stopped and continued to disobey commands. The male was later detained without further incident and was identified as William Beasley, age 28 of Wasilla. Further investigation lead to K9 Bruce being deployed for a narcotics sniff on the exterior of the vehicle, which resulted in a positive indication. Beasley was released on scene with a criminal summons for Fail to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer 2nd Degree. The investigation is ongoing.
